Nikhil Somani is working as a Scientist and Technical Lead in the Robotics group at the Advanced Re-manufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore.
He worked as the lead for AI and software development for the Changi Aviation Challenge 2 project at TUM CREATE Limited from 2016 to 2018. He worked on the European FP7 research project SMErobotics as a Staff Researcher for TUM’s affiliated research and transfer institute, fortiss GmbH from 2013 to 2016.
His research interests include robot control, computer vision, cognitive robotics and human-robot interaction.
